Who are we?

We are an extended friends group, scattered primarily across the North American continent. We have different backgrounds, but have several shared hobbies and interests.

Why IASITFR?

We take our name from a meme regarding fantasy tabletop roleplaying games, in which the dungeon/game master plots a complex, serious story ala Lord of the Rings– and the players devolve it into “It’s Always Sunny in the Forgotten Realms”, a reference to the TV show with somewhat of a cult following about some pretty terrible and oblivious people mixed with one of the more popular fantasy settings for Dungeons and Dragons.

I mean, if you met us, you’d know how apt it is.

What do we do?

That’s kind of a deep question, man. Generally, though… we play games (video games, board games, tabletop RPGs, wargames, MUSHes, card games, that game where you make an “ok” sign and then punch someone when they see it…), debate politics (American, European, Canadian, UK, international, fantasy…), travel together, argue, go to conventions, raise kids and pets, eat good food, drink good beer, drink shitty beer, complain about the state of the world/neighborhood/state/city/whatever, work, learn new shit, watch movies and TV and other pop culture, and attempt to adult (often poorly). So not too much different than most folks.
